If you’ve checked your LinkedIn feed recently, you’ll have noticed that it’s awards season; a time when professionals from all industries dust off the suits and sparkles and cross their fingers that they’ll receive recognition for another year’s worth of hard work. The team at Large Mortgage Loans is no different and across the space of just one week we have attended three different award ceremonies. It’s with great pride we report that we took home an award from each, topping off what has proven to be a landmark 12 months in our 16-year history.
Two teams visited two cities on one evening; in London the team were suited and booted to attend the Coutts and Adam & Co Awards, where we were nominated in three categories and took home the gong for ‘Best Introducer of Commercial Business’. In Bristol, our Communications Consultant, Lindsey Freeman, attended the Chartered Institute of PR Pride Awards, where we were awarded Silver for Best Use of Media Relations (South of England and Channel Islands). Just a few days later, the team were again rewarded at the Mortgage Introducer Awards, being named Broker of the Year (less than 40 advisers).
Paul Welch, Founder & CEO commented “what struck me more than anything about our wins is the breadth of the work we have delivered. Not only were our advisory services recognised, our commercial offering, which is a key part of the business, was specifically highlighted and rewarded with a very well-deserved gong. We were also recognised for our communications and campaigning, having successfully changed the legislation in Guernsey – my home island – to make mortgaging costs fairer for all.
Awards are only one part of the puzzle, but they show that, when up against the best in our industry in all fields, we’re seen as leaders in what we do, with a team stacked full of driven and talented individuals.”
