Yes, it is possible to obtain a mortgage for a UK property even if you have been out of the UK for a number of years. Depending on how much deposit you have, and the loan amount, we can approach private banks and offshore lenders, who will take a view on applicants who might not have a recent credit history in the UK. Because you are looking to borrow £1,500,000 and you can put down a deposit of 40% of the property value, we can approach these banks who will consider your application. You may need to provide more to support your application because they cannot perform electronic credit checks, such as 12 months of bank statements, or perhaps a reference from where you bank abroad.
